Praise for ETC's THE INVISIBLE HAND Dramaturgy

ETC's production of Ayad Akhtar's The Invisible Hand opened on April 14, and has received wide critical praise, including specific mention of Sam's dramaturgical work. In the Santa Barbara Noozhawk, Judith Smith-Meyer writes, "In an engaging pre-show talk, ETC resident dramaturg Sam Lahne provided background on the playwright, the story, this production, the stock market, Pakistan’s history of partition from India, and even the work of a dramaturg. It was really enriching to have all that context going into the performance. Artistic director Jonathan Fox directed this production, and everything about the experience, from the pre-show talk to the staging to the quality of the acting, rewarded us for showing up."

ETC's Invisible Hand runs until April 29 in Santa Barbara, then it will transfer to Frankfurt, Germany, where it will play at The English Theatre of Frankfurt from May 9 to June 6.
